Anandaya is a philanthropic organization. It is dedicated towards improving foundational reading & learning skills among children from low-income households. Through its "Project Pustakalaya" program, it sets up resource-rich libraries in government primary schools. It further trains teachers in the science of reading and in optimal use of the learning resources.
Aligned with Nipun Bharat and UN SDGs, the program fosters reading with comprehension, critical thinking and expression. With ongoing engagement with all stakeholders and measurement of outcomes, Anandaya ensures sustainable impact by transforming rote learning into a love for reading, thereby providing an essential skill for a child’s success in school and life.
Founded in 2015 by educationist Jaishree Goyal and incubated by entrepreneur Sanjay Krishna Goyal, Anandaya’s vision is to see every child read with joy.
Our vision is to see every child read with joy.
We aim to transform 'rote learning' to 'love for reading' and improve reading fluency outcomes at scale, creating a sustainable, long-term impact on children's academic success and lifelong learning abilities.
